Introducing the HearthStone cedar home; a
super insulated timber trace home; a
technologically superior home.
The Timber Trace Home is an expression of three
ideals:
- A home should be an enduring haven of comfort
and solitude that reflects the individuality and
personality of those within.
- A home should employ the latest technologies
in building materials and methods.
- A home should be affordable and represent good
value and a sound investment.

Engineered timbers, or glulams, are combined with Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to produce the unique designs, construction efficiency, and exceptional value represented by the timber trace. The use of glulams offers a wide range of design possibilities at an economical cost. They are used extensively as both decorative and structural components and permit us to create the unique designs and sense of expanded living space that distinguishes the Timber Trace. With glulams prominently exposed as straight beams, roof rafters, and exposed trusses, timber trace interiors provide an unusual degree of softness, natural charm, and inviting warmth.
The use of SIPs for exterior walls is another representation of the advanced building technology employed in the timber trace. SIPs provide up to twice the insulation value of conventionally framed walls insulated with fiberglass. They are also stronger, straighter and present a more finished appearance.
That’s why we say ... a home for the 21st century. The name HearthStone has always stood for the very finest in craftsmanship and quality and with the introduction of our panel homes that tradition continues.
New Techniques, Old-Fashioned Values HearthStone panel homes were developed for individuals who demand technical excellence, the latest technology and a home that makes a distinctive personal statement.
HearthStone panel homes are constructed using building materials and methods that render conventional, stud-framed walls obsolete. But these foam-core panel homes are the logical result of a technology that is more than 50 years old.
Keep
the Outdoors in Its Place HearthStone panel homes have solid-core walls and an extremely high insulation value (R-24!) to ensure extraordinary energy-efficiency in any climate. But the benefits don't just stop there. Our panel homes are inherently strong and quiet. Uncontrolled air and moisture infiltration is dramatically reduced because the exterior walls are of a solid, foam-core construction.
Not surprisingly the temperature inside of a HearthStone panel home is consistent throughout for optimum comfort.
Designs Can Be As
Inspired As Your Imagination Although HearthStone offers standard panel home floor plans, any style of home can be built using this technology. So be as imaginative as you want.
The advantage of building a home (or commercial building) with panels is that they offer the best of both worlds - old fashioned quality and modern, energy-efficient technology.
HearthStone crews are well-trained in every phase of building a panel home, from caulking and foaming the wall joints to raising the roof. No time or material is ever wasted because panels are delivered pre-cut and ready to install.
Faster, Easier, Better After an appropriate foundation and sub-floor are installed, the entire panel shell can usually be completed within a week. Then, almost any type of roofing or siding can be used to finish the exterior of the house.
Inside, you have just as much freedom. Sheetrock is easily installed because there is a continuous nailing surface. And since our panels are so strong, you have almost complete flexibility in designing your dream home.
The result can be a masterpiece, whether you follow one of our standard floor plans or create your own.
