Log - Timber Frame - Mortise and Tenon - Handcrafted

Barns are a Great American Tradition.  Whether a place to house animals, a site for the occasional social gathering, or the home to your antique car collection...a Hearthstone Heavy Timber Barn is THE DEFINITIVE out building.  The steep pitched roof with cupolas makes the impressive structure shown to the left a favorite with the neighbors in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama, area.

Twin gable dormers on each roof soften the large cathedral ceiling roofline of the beautiful Pullen Timber Frame Barn shown at the right and below. Custom fabricated black iron stall gates give a feeling of strength and quality. Black iron and wood stall dividers fit nicely within the timber frame dimensions. This barn was built with full through-tenon central bay plates raised high to allow trucks and mounted riders to use the twin sliding doors at both ends of the barn.

The Idaho Timber Frame Barn shown above is 38' deep x 70' long, two story barn built in the Timber Frame system using oak timbers.

Exterior siding is hand peeled pine timbers which have been sawn in half lengthwise. Open area for crafts and projects has plenty of workspace for the kids that attend this boy's ranch. Framed walls with wood siding conceal tool storage and project materials. Loft overlooks the great hall and gathering area.
