The following is a brief outline for regional log and timber frame clients of what Hearthstone Provides and what is provided by the client:

WHAT HEARTHSTONE PROVIDES
It is very important to know just exactly what is provided with a Log, Timber Frame or Structural Panel home package. Hearthstone’s basic package consists of Timber Frame or Log walls, rafters, beams, girders, porch timbers, special slotted jambs, spline system, and hardware. Essentially, this constitutes the Log or Timber Frame skeleton of the home. On some models, conventional trusses replace log roof systems.

WHAT YOU PROVIDE
It is our customer’s responsibility to provide foundations, stonework, sub-floor, and all facets of the completion of the house beyond the timber frame or log framework: i.e., heating and electrical systems, cabinetry, floor covering, plumbing, etc. There are no special foundation requirements. They are the same as conventional construction foundation specifications. In many instances your Hearthstone project manager can offer contractor services, recommend contractors or assist you in finding a contractor yourself.

BLUEPRINTS AND ARCHITECTURAL STAFF
Four full sets of working blueprints are provided with each standard house sold. There is an opportunity for one “mark up” set of plans – before final prints are finalized. Purchasers of custom homes receive a floor plan, foundation plan and all elevations with a window schedule, porches patios and other necessary building details. More extensive design work, electrical plans, etc. can be provided to meet your needs. Clients designing custom homes are urged to have design work done primarily with their personal architect in consultation with our architectural staff, for the most satisfactory results. For projects with existing full architectural plans we will provide shop drawings for timber frame and necessary structural interface for foundation, sub-floor and tie-in to conventional frame sections of the commercial or residential project.

HEARTHSTONE ASSEMBLY SERVICE
Hearthstone provides skilled crews for erecting any of our homes. They erect the Log or Timber Frame skeleton of the home on an existing, custom-installed foundation and sub floor. We will provide erection service anywhere we sell a home. The investment is modest compared to value, when you consider that we supply a trained, professional staff and erection crew.
